West Virginia University says the fourth candidate in its search for the next vice president for research will give a public presentation on campus from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the Mountainlair Gluck Theatre, according to a university announcement published Oct. 7.
The university said the candidate would be announced through ENews on Thursday, Oct. 8. The announcement was to include the candidate’s CV and a Zoom link for people who prefer to attend virtually, according to WVU.
WVU said the search committee is led by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Beverly Wendland and search firm Isaacson, Miller. The university described the vice president for research as a member of the president’s executive leadership team, focused on expanding university-wide research infrastructure and high-impact research output.
